Following its successful sold-out premiere at Dublin Dance Festival 2022, A Call to You comes to Backstage Theatre this Sat 22nd April.

Catherine Young’s powerful and uplifting piece eemerges from the urgency of the incomprehensible times we live through. It is a call to come together; to explore the fragility and friction of community. The strength of the many.

Originally created at Backstage Theatre, A Call To You features a cast of outstanding international dancers and musicians (including two members of Kíla,) and inspired by Ukrainian folk dance traditions, this new work from Catherine Young Dance is a passionate celebration of life, togetherness and dance.

It offers an antidote to the imagery of war and the endless rhetoric of politics. As words fail, the body now speaks – untamed and unapologetic.
