BTG bring you a very special production, co-directed by Charlie McGuinness and Ollie Kenny, and dedicated to the memory of the late, great Gus Hanley. Gus directed this play in 1998 and it was a resounding success and fulfilled Gus’s two theatrical aims, getting as many people on stage as possible and giving the audience a great night’s entertainment.
The Chastitute by John B. Keane is a hilarious yet poignant comedy about John Bosco McLaine, a 53-year-old bachelor farmer in rural Ireland who is celibate by force of circumstance.
The play follows his desperate, funny, and awkward attempts to find a bride – The 40 Year Old Virgin, Kerry style!

Don’t worry if you or any of your party are unable to attend a performance. If you contact our Box Office team on 043 3347888 no later than 4pm two days before the show*, you can exchange your tickets for another performance or ask for a credit voucher (which does not expire).
*Must be two working days. Box Office hours: Mon-Fri (10am to 5pm)
Please note: No refunds/exchanges can be offered on the day of a performance or after a show has taken place.
