Ta Tum Tum! is a joyful, high-energy, and interactive live performance for children that brings the vibrant rhythms of Brazil to life through music, dance, and storytelling. Designed especially for early years audiences, the show features live percussion, cavaquinho, and vocals, introducing children to traditional Brazilian instruments such as the berimbau, pandeiro, tamborim, and shekere.
This bilingual performance (Portuguese and English) invites children to sing, clap, move, and dance as they explore the infectious rhythms of samba, forró, and capoeira. Guided by a trio of Brazilian musicians and dancers, children learn body percussion, experience musical storytelling, and take part in playful movement that supports coordination, listening, and self-expression.
Each performance builds toward an exciting finale: a mini Brazilian Carnaval celebration where children become part of the parade, dancing and making music in a colourful, inclusive party.
Created by award-winning inclusive artist Kasia Eliasz and an ensemble of Brazilian performers, Ta Tum Tum! celebrates cultural diversity through shared experience, encouraging participation and joy across all abilities. The show is especially suitable for early years audiences and children with additional needs, offering sensory elements, strong visual cues, and a clear, accessible structure.
