After selling out recent shows in Dublin (Arthur’s Blues n’ Jazz Club), The Hot Spot Music Club in Greystones, and The Royal Meath in Navan,  the Derry native – known as ‘The Godfather of Soul’ –  is celebrating an amazing 60 years on the road this year and as the title of his biography suggests, is ‘STILL GOING STRONG!

Rob also performed regularly in Longford town venues such as the Sunset Club at The Longford Arms Hotel.

Rob’s son, Andrew Strong, starred as Deco Cuffe in the smash hit movie The Commitments in 1991 and toured with the world famous  Rolling Stones, Elton John and Prince. Rob himself toured the UK and Europe with the Commitments band and was vocal coach for both soundtrack albums of the iconic movie.
