Catherine Young Dance and the El Funoun Dance Company

Discover the joy and energy of Dabke, the traditional dance from Palestine that celebrates togetherness.
This lively workshop offers an introduction to the basic steps, rhythms and movements of Dabke, led in a welcoming and supportive environment by El Funoun Dance Company who are visiting Longford from Palestine.
The workshop will be preceded by a short performance from El Funoun & Catherine Young Dance, an excerpt from new material both companies are creating together, while in residence in Backstage Theatre.
No previous dance experience is necessary — just bring your curiosity and willingness to move, and show your solidarity with our friends from Palestine!

Don’t worry if you or any of your party are unable to attend a performance. If you contact our Box Office team on 043 3347888 no later than 4pm two days before the show*, you can exchange your tickets for another performance or ask for a credit voucher (which does not expire).
*Must be two working days. Box Office hours: Mon-Fri (10am to 5pm)
Please note: No refunds/exchanges can be offered on the day of a performance or after a show has taken place.
