Junior Ambassador Panel

We want to ensure that young people have a voice – an input into what we programme and how we connect with them.  In 2026 we introduced out first ever Junior Ambassador Panel who will be mentored by our wonderful Artist in Residence, Maisie Lee.

Over the next twelve months, this creative group of 10-11 year olds, will get a chance to learn about how Backstage Theatre works and to contribute ideas to ensure that all children feel welcome, heard and represented in Backstage.  They’ll attend shows and creative workshops that focus on a number of creative areas and skills, as well as exploring children’s rights and contributing ideas to Backstage Theatre’s programme and associated artists.

They’re an incredible group of imaginative young people and we’re excited to work with them throughout the year
