We’re delighted to welcome back one of Ireland’s most exciting musical voices as Padraig Jack returns to the Canal Studio following last year’s captivating performance at Backstage.
Hailing from the Aran Islands Gaeltacht, Padraig Jack’s unique sound is deeply rooted in his upbringing, blending Celtic, folk, and contemporary influences into a style that is both authentic and refreshingly modern. His bilingual songwriting adds a rich cultural layer, connecting audiences to the landscapes and traditions that inspire his music.
Padraig’s breakthrough single, Making Sand, earned widespread acclaim and a nomination at the RTÉ Folk Awards. The track, inspired by island life, spent an impressive four weeks at Number 1 on the RTÉ Radio 1 Airplay Chart, firmly establishing him as one of Ireland’s standout contemporary songwriters. Praise has followed from major voices in music, including Mike Scott and the influential Hot Press.
In 2024, Padraig released his second album, These Shores, further cementing his growing reputation. A highlight of the year saw him perform to a 4,000-strong hometown audience at the Galway International Arts Festival Big Top as a special guest to The Saw Doctors.
His momentum has continued into 2025 with sold-out performances at Dublin TradFest and Kilkenny TradFest, alongside international appearances at Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Celtic Connections, Folk Alliance International, and the St Patrick’s Festival.
Don’t miss the chance to experience Padraig Jack live—an artist whose music captures the spirit of Ireland while speaking to audiences around the world.
